Alyssa Dodson completed her initial Structural Integration training in 2002 at The Guild for Structural Integration with teachers Emmett Hutchins and Peter Melchior. Since then she has had a private client practice and has been teaching Structural Integration techniques for 18 years.
Alyssa teaches two courses: The Biomechanics of Adaptable Alignment, and Core Integration; Visceral Manipulation. Both courses are based on the work of Elizabeth Gaggini, a Rolfing™ practitioner and teacher who Alyssa has assisted for 10 years.
Prior to her Structural Integration career, Alyssa was a modern dancer for 15 years and taught movement and alignment, including with the Martha Graham Company, The Metropolitan Opera, and Tanglewood Music Festival.
Her teaching is influenced in her work by Monica Caspari in Structural Integration, Juliu Horvath in the Gyrotonic System, and Irene Dowd in anatomy.

He has developed groundbreaking new joint mobilization methods.
Education & Training
Jeffrey Burch received a BA in biology from the University of Oregon in 1975, after which he trained at The Rolf Institute of Structural Integration® in Boulder, Colorado, receiving his Certification as a Rolfer in 1977.
He first practiced Rolfing® Structural Integration in London, and later in Seattle and Honolulu before returning to his native Eugene, Oregon, in 1989. At the time he was in London there were only a half dozen Rolfers in Europe. He accepted invitations to Rolf groups of people in Oslo, Stockholm, Trondheim, and Tehran. He now lives in Eugene Oregon and practices and offers continuing education classes and study groups in both Eugene and Portland, Oregon.
Jeffrey Burch received his Rolfing Advanced Certification in 1990, after which he again began studying at the University of Oregon where he received a second BA in Psychology in 1993 and a Master of Science in Counseling in 1995. His Masters thesis “Alexithymia and Dissociation” explores topics related to psychosomatic conditions.
In 1998, Jeffrey began intensively studying CranioSacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute, Cranial Manipulation with French Osteopath Alain Gehin, and Visceral Manipulation through the International Alliance for Health Care Educators (IAHE). Jeffrey has taken most of the Visceral Manipulation classes offered by Jean Pierre Barral and his associates in North America, most twice. Jeffrey completed the apprenticeship to teach visceral manipulation and although he is not part of the North American Visceral Manipulation Institution team, he independently offeres specialized courses in visceral manipulation with the permission of Jean Pierre Barral.
Structural Integration Schools
At the time Jeffrey trained at the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration® in Boulder, Colorado, that school was the only structural integration school in the world. Since then branches of the Rolf Institute® have opened in Munich, Germany, Sao Paolo, Brazil and Sydney, Australia. Several practitioners and teachers have left the Rolf Institute to start many new structural integration and related schools including the Guild for Structural Integration (GSI) , Hellerwork International (HWI), and the Aston Patterning Institute (API). Jeffrey continues his membership with in the Rolf Institute®, is an affiliate of GSI, and has friendly relations with members and administration of both Hellerwork International and Aston Patterning Institute.
The International Alliance of Structural Integrators (IASI) is an umbrella organization and certifying body for several quality schools of structural integration. Jeffrey launched the annual publication of IASI – The Structural Integration Yearbook, and he presents at IASI conferences. Eligibility for membership in IASI is a prerequisite to take Jeffrey’s 5 part course series Visceral Manipulation for Structural Integrators.
Publications & Teaching
Jeffrey Burch has written articles on the history of manual therapy, Visceral Manipulation and how to integrate both Visceral Manipulation and CranioSacral Therapy into structural integration practice. These articles have been published in Massage & Bodywork Magazine, Tensegrity News, The Journal of Structural Integration, and Massage Therapy Journal.
In addition to his work with The Upledger Institute and its umbrella organization IAHE, Jeffrey teaches continuing education classes for the Rolf Institute® and privately.

I feel tremendously fortunate to have found Jeffrey Burch so early in my SI career. Having spent hundreds of hours with him in the classroom I still learn new information each time I attend a class. His mastery of human anatomy and physiology is like no other SI practitioner, PT or Chiropractor, yet his manner is kind and easy going. Jeffrey effectively paces and coveys technically dense and subtly refined information – and he relates these details to the larger issues of forms in space and gravity. His example inspires me in my own teaching.

I can attest to Jeff’s teaching skill and bountiful wisdom, as a past and always student. His skills will shock you with their ease, simplicity and effectiveness. Cannot recommend more highly.
